I had purchased a 2 qt sauce pan by Emeril, and really loved it, so I needed a fry pan and purchased both the 8" and 10" Emeril pan. It's a great pan. It heats evenly, and cleans up in a snap. I like it because it can go into the oven as well. It's a well made pan, and I recommend it highly.
Description of Emerilware 8 inch Nonstick Fry pan
Emerilware bears the sigature of celebrity chel Emeril Lagasse and was created in partnership with renowned cookware maker All-Clade, a world-class collection of nonstick cookware. Emerilware is durable, heavy and beautiful combined with contemporary style of charcoal-black, hard-anodized aluminum and the ease of non-stick. The key to the cookware's high performance is the 5 mm thickness of the hard-anodized aluminum and three layers of tough non-stick. This means there is better heat retention and scratch resistance. Emerilware carries a lifetime warranty against defects and is ideal for low-fat, healthy cooking. This classic, slope-sided frying pan is 8 inches in diameter, perfect for cooking a family size meal and the pan's flared lip prevents drips when pouring. The long handle has an indented thumb rest and rounded for comfort. The handle is riveted to the pan for strength, cast of stainless steel and polished, stays cool on the stovetop and oven-safe. Emerilware should be hand washed and NOT diswasher safe. Its heavy-gauge, 18/10 stainless steel is polished to a mirror finish outside and blessed with a satin finish inside to conceal utensil marks. To distribute heat uniformly and maintain it, there's a thick aluminum disk on the bottom covered in stainless steel so the pan works on any stovetop, including induction. For elegance, the disk's edge is clad in copper.
Displaying Emeril's signature, the pan's cast-stainless-steel handle is riveted for strength and has a thumb rest for comfort. In addition, the handle stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. The pan's lip flares to facilitate dripless pouring.
