I was very disappointed with this insert. I unfortunately assumed that it would fit the 3quart pans that I had. I discovered after washing it that it did not. I had to buy a 4quart pan ($69.99) to be able to use it. So after $110.00, I can now steam veggies!
Description of Emeril Stainless 3-Quart Steamer Insert
Suitable for use with any 8-inch diameter pot or pan, this beautiful, heavy, durable steamer insert holds 3 quarts of vegetables for steaming over simmering water. It's designed to fit into the 3-1/2-quart saucepan and 3-1/2-quart casserole pan from the Emerilware Nonstick cookware collection. The steamer's exterior is mirror-finish stainless steel and the interior is polished for natural stick-resistance. A flared lip facilitates drip-free pouring. The polished, cast-stainless-steel handles are riveted for strength and stay cool on the stovetop. Although the steamer is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended.
